What the Locating Visit Covers
Specialized locating investigates the suspected source of a hidden leak. The team chooses testing methods based on the plumbing layout, the signs you have noticed, and the areas that can be accessed. A concealed or intermittent problem may need further investigation.
Before arranging the visit, tell us where you have seen water, whether your bill changed, and whether the problem happens all the time or only when a fixture runs. Photos of the affected area can help explain what is happening.
The locating scope should make clear:
- Which suspected leak or part of the property will be investigated.
- What the agreed locating charge covers.
- Whether access or additional testing may need separate approval.
- How the findings will inform the next plumbing step.

What Happens After the Leak Is Located?
We review the findings and explain the plumbing work that may be needed. Depending on the pipe and its condition, that could mean repairing a local section, rerouting a line, or discussing a larger replacement.
Your written repair estimate should describe the work being approved. Opening a wall or floor, replacing pipe, and restoring tile or drywall are separate parts of the project; check which are included before deciding.
